Bonnie Schoch for Mayor
We can appreciate the extraordinary assets we are blessed with, but we must also address honestly the challenges that are restricting our ability to move forward. It is time for St. Helena to unite and take transformative action.
I see myself as the person who can lead this change; someone who can build a solid foundation for growth and sustainability. I want to build a culture that is positive, confident, decisive and forward looking. A place where the essence of a great small town – diverse population and caring neighbors - is matched with fiscal strength and a robust economy.
(pronounced “Shock”)
St Helena is at a crossroads.
I hope you choose me to be your mayor.
About Bonnie
I grew up in El Cerrito, California and graduated from UC Davis with a degree in Economics. My first job in the Napa Valley was with the French champagne house Domaine Chandon, who was just beginning their California experiment. I was afforded the opportunity to be involved in many aspects of a new brand as it grew and expand. I went on to serve as Chief Financial Officer for Stag’s Leap Wine Estates, St Supery and Cuvaison. Working for mid-sized wineries allowed me to expand my duties beyond fiscal accountability to master Human Resources and IT as well.
While in the wine industry I served on the Community & Industry Issue Committee, the Farmworker Housing Committee, and the Grants Review Committee of the Napa Valley Vintners.
Meanwhile, I raised my two sons in St. Helena and was active in their lives from kindergarten through high school in the public schools. Besides my local elected positions on the School Board (1996-2003) and City Council (2003-2010), I was also a long-time Soroptimist and have served on the Board of Directors of the Upvalley Family Centers, Our Town St. Helena and Rianda House.
After 45 years in the wine industry, I retired in 2024 and, besides spoiling my two grandchildren, I began to follow local politics in greater detail. I see great opportunity to enhance both the financial strength and the quality of life of our special town and now I have the time to contribute to help make this happen.
It would be my pleasure to serve as your next mayor.
